Time Zone Converter

Convert a date and time you choose from one time zone to another.

1 January 1970 to 31 December 2100, in the “From” place.

Worked example

12:00 in London on 15 July 2026 is 07:00 the same day in New York: London is on British Summer Time (UTC+01:00) and New York is on Eastern Daylight Time (UTC−04:00), five hours apart.

How we calculated this

The date and time you enter are read as local time in the “From” place. Numerila works out the one real moment that refers to, then shows what the clock reads at that same moment in the “To” place. Each place uses its rules for the date you chose, including any daylight saving change on that day.

Clocks that change can make a local time unusual. When clocks go forward, some times never happen, so Numerila tells you rather than moving your time. When clocks go back, some times happen twice, so Numerila shows both readings, each with its own UTC offset, and you choose the one you mean.

To see the current time in several places at once, use World City Times.

What this result means

The result is what the clock reads in the second place at the same moment as the date and time you entered in the first, along with each place’s UTC offset on that date.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming a fixed gap between two places: the gap changes when only one of them moves its clocks, so the difference can be an hour different for a few weeks each year.
  • Entering a time that clocks skip over when they go forward. That time does not exist, so Numerila reports it instead of picking a nearby time for you.

Assumptions and limitations

  • Supports local dates from 1 January 1970 to 31 December 2100. Earlier dates are not accepted, because time zone history before 1970 is not consistent between browsers.
  • Time zone rules come from your browser and device, which can lag behind a very recent change of law. Check anything time-critical with an official source.
  • Places are represented by a city in each time zone, so a country with several time zones has several entries.
