Who we are

Numerila is operated by Dev Sooriyar, an individual operator ("Numerila", "we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you use numerila.com (the "Site").

Scope

This policy covers the Site as it currently exists. It describes what actually happens today, not a general list of things a website of this kind might do. If Numerila's position changes in future, this page will be updated to reflect that before the change goes live.

Ordinary tool inputs stay local

Nearly all of Numerila's tools, including every calculator, unit converter, date and time tool, text tool, random generator, and the cooking and health tools, process what you enter entirely within your own browser. The numbers or text you type are never transmitted to Numerila or to any third party, and are not stored once you leave or refresh the page.

The Currency Converter exception

The Currency Converter is the one tool that makes a network request. To convert an amount, your browser asks Frankfurter, an independent exchange-rate data service, for the current reference rate between the two currencies you selected. Only the two currency codes (for example, "USD" and "GBP") are sent. The amount you are converting and the result are calculated in your browser and never sent to Frankfurter or to Numerila.

Local site search

The search feature on Numerila matches against the tool list entirely in your browser. A search query is never sent to a server, and is never included as a URL query parameter that a server log could capture.

Technical and server information

Like most websites, the infrastructure that serves Numerila's pages may automatically record standard technical information, such as an IP address, browser type, and access times, for security and operational purposes (for example, detecting abuse or diagnosing an outage). This is generic hosting and security infrastructure behaviour, not something Numerila's own code reads, analyses, or uses for any other purpose.

Contact communications

If you email help@regmir.com, we hold your message and email address for as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of the correspondence, then delete it in the ordinary course of housekeeping.

Cookies and similar storage

Numerila's own code does not use cookies for its tools. It stores one small record of your cookie and privacy choice in your browser's local storage, which only remembers your own choice and identifies or tracks nothing. The one exception is optional: if you choose to allow analytics, Google's analytics code sets two first-party cookies, _ga and a second cookie whose name starts _ga_, to tell visits apart and keep each visit together. They are not set if you reject analytics or have not chosen. The Cookie Policy names both cookies and gives their purpose and duration. It also covers any storage that may be strictly necessary for the Site's hosting or security infrastructure to function.

Analytics and advertising

Numerila includes code that can load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) through Google Tag Manager. It only runs if you actively opt in using the banner or the "Cookie preferences" control described below. Analytics is switched off by default for every visitor, and stays off unless you turn it on. When it does run, Numerila sends one sanitised page-view event: the page's address, with no query string or fragment. Google also receives the standard technical information any request carries, such as your IP address and browser type, and sets the two cookies described in the Cookie Policy. Numerila never sends anything you have typed into a calculator, the search box, or any other tool.

If you withdraw your analytics choice, Numerila stops analytics straight away, in any other Numerila tab you have open as well, and removes those two cookies.

Numerila does not currently run any advertising or affiliate tracking of any kind, and no advertising script is present on the Site today. If that ever changes, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated to describe it before it goes live, and it will remain subject to the same opt-in consent choice described below.

No calculator input or result is ever sent to, or used by, GA4, any advertising system, or any other analytics tool.

Cookie and privacy preferences

Every page has a "Cookie preferences" control (in the footer) where you can allow or refuse optional analytics at any time. It also lists advertising personalisation and affiliate tracking, which are not in use on Numerila, so those two choices do nothing today. Making a choice stores a small record in your browser's own local storage. This is never a cookie, and is never sent to Numerila or anyone else. It contains only which categories you chose, a version number for that choice, and the date you chose it, and never anything you have entered into a calculator, the search box, or any other tool.

All three optional categories are switched off by default. Analytics is the only one that does anything, and only after you allow it. You can review or change your choice at any time using the same "Cookie preferences" control.

Why we process what little information there is

Where any technical information is generated (see above), it is used only to operate, secure, and maintain the Site, for example to keep the Site available and to investigate misuse. Where applicable data protection law requires a stated legal basis for this, it is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website, and, for the currency-code request described above, what is strictly necessary to provide the Currency Converter you have asked to use. Responding to a message you send us relies on our legitimate interest in dealing with your enquiry, or your consent in sending it to us.

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. The only routine sharing that happens is the currency-code request to Frankfurter described above, whatever our hosting provider necessarily sees to serve the Site to you, and, only if you allow analytics, the page-view measurement sent to Google described above. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Numerila, its users, or others.

Service providers

Numerila uses a hosting provider to serve the Site and Frankfurter to supply currency reference rates. Neither is used, at present, for analytics, advertising, or any purpose beyond running the Site and its Currency Converter. If you allow analytics, Google also receives the measurement data described above, through Google Tag Manager.

International transfers

Because so little information is involved, this is rarely relevant in practice. Where the hosting provider, Frankfurter or, if you allow analytics, Google operates outside your own country, only the limited technical, currency-code or page-view information described above could be involved, never your calculator inputs.

Retention

Numerila does not retain calculator inputs or results at all, since they are never sent to us. Technical/server information and contact correspondence are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. A cookie/privacy-preference choice stays in your own browser until you change it yourself, or until a materially new category or provider means we ask you to decide again. The two analytics cookies stay in your browser only until they expire (see the Cookie Policy), until you withdraw your analytics choice, or until Numerila removes them on a later visit where analytics is not allowed.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps appropriate to the very limited information Numerila actually handles. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Numerila is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Adult BMI Calculator is explicitly stated as not designed for anyone under 18.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information relating to you, for example to access, correct, or ask us to delete it. Because Numerila holds so little personal information (in most cases, none at all beyond an email you choose to send us), there is rarely anything to act on, but you can contact help@regmir.com to ask.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the Site's position changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last substantively revised.
