How we counted this
Numerila counts what a person would see as one character, not raw computer code units. An emoji, an accented letter, or an emoji made of several joined symbols, such as a family emoji, each count as one character. This uses your browser's built in Unicode text handling, and it avoids the common mistake of counting a single emoji as two.
Nothing is removed or tidied before counting, so spaces at the start and end are included. The main figure includes spaces, tabs and line breaks, and a line break counts as one character whichever kind it is. The figure without spaces leaves out every space, tab and line break.
